The Perfect Day in Greenville

Sure, exploring new towns and places in South Carolina is fun, but sometimes it's nice to be a stay-at-home tourist and participate in a stay-cation. After all, Greenville has a lot to offer and there are probably many places to explore here that you've never been to. So, if you're looking for a perfect day in Greenville, you're in luck. We've got you covered. Warning: We like to go the extra-mile, so be prepared for a fun, food-filled AND busy perfect day.

9am

Things to do in Greenville SCTake advantage of the morning and skip breakfast. Don't worry, you'll get to indulge in the delicious brunch that Spoonbread has to offer. This restaurant is located in downtown Greenville at The Westin Poinsett off South Main Street. Fill yourself up with Southern favorites – you'll need the energy later.

11am

It's time for a little Greenville history and culture. You'll be surprised at what you'll learn about Greenville and after a nice breakfast, it's a good idea to walk off your meal. Take your time, more exercise is coming later. Head to the office of Greenville History Tours and choose between a walking or driving tour. You'll spend an hour learning about the history and development of Greenville and how it came to be the bustling metropolis that it is today.

12pm

Once you're full of knowledge and ready for some action, you'll head to the Swamp Rabbit Trails. Bikes can be rented at Reedy Rides downtown. You can then cruise the 13.55 mile Swamp Rabbit Trail. Are you feeling tired yet? You'll get some more food fuel along the way by stopping at one of the delectable restaurants. Or if you prefer, grab a picnic lunch at the Swamp Rabbit Café and Grocery. Whether you prefer a full meal or a light snack, you can literally eat and bike your way through this trail.

Things to do in GreenvilleIf you're ready for a break, you can bike or make your way to Fluor Field for a sneak peek at the one of the best minor league baseball teams around. This field has been designed to mimic the world-renowned Fenway Park. So relax, grab a beer or water and enjoy some baseball!

Are you having fun yet? As the day begins winding down, you're probably getting hungry again. We're going to point you in the right dinner direction. With some of the best restaurants in South Carolina, Greenville's dining options are unparalleled. Choose from one of these top restaurants in the area or enjoy a meal at the popular American Grocery Restaurant.

8:30pm

Lastly, it's time to enjoy the live music scene at Blues Boulevard. This upscale blues and jazz venue displays the best pianists and musicians in the country. After a busy day, there's no better way to relax than by enjoying some beautiful music with a cocktail.
